Why photography?

Since as long as I could remember, I have always loved to create. I loved to draw, sing, dance, and much more. After high school, I decided to give Construction a try. I loved the idea of creating beautiful homes for people to live their most cherished moments. But after doing that for a year, I realized that construction was not my passion. My creative bone was still just itching to be used. So I took a shot at a dream I had since my first yearbook and journalism class in high school. I borrowed my dad's old work camera and just started taking pictures of people. And I very quickly fell in love with it. I love capturing God's creations – of nature and of his children. I love capturing people's most cherished memories in a way that can be seen and felt. And that is why I choose photography. It fulfills my purpose all while I get to capture my client's fulfill their own purpose in front of my own eyes (and lens).

“I wish that all of nature’s magnificence, the emotion of the land, the living energy of place could be photographed.”

how to capture your sepcial day authenticly

As an elopement and wedding photographer, my primary focus is not just on capturing stunning images, but also on immersing myself in the essence of my clients' special day. I believe in being fully present, allowing myself to become absorbed in the emotions, the atmosphere, and the intricate details that make each moment unique. By cultivating a mindset of mindfulness and presence, I can authentically document the raw beauty and genuine emotions that unfold naturally. My goal isn't to stage or manipulate the scene but to let the day unfold organically, ensuring that every shot reflects the true essence of the couple's love story. Being in the moment allows me to capture the fleeting moments, the stolen glances, and the heartfelt exchanges that make up the tapestry of their wedding day.
